Roller con agujeros para un Bigsby. Para que sirve??
Roller con agujeros para un Bigsby. Para que sirve??
Buenas,
String tension bar for Duesenberg tremolos which allows a direct string mounting.

Hi folks.
Ten years ago I bought a Duesenberg trem for my Les Paul at Rockinger's. I had a few issues with that order because they sent wrong color and when I finally get mine, it came with this roller. I put it on my guitar as if it was a normal roller and noticed that it mess the tune every time the holes meet the strings as I use the trem bar(hole axis vertical, square with string axis). I complained so Rockinger sent me a normal roller which is still mounted on my guitar.
All this years since then I've been wondering what the hell are these holes for so, can you please tell me the secret?
Regards

Hi Daniel,
that's funny: after all the years!
OK here we go:
the idea behind was a downholder roll which is a tailpiece at the same time.
if you don't want to use the tremolo you can bring in the strings in these 6 holes and use it as a tailpiece.
if you use it with the tremolo you have to take care that the strings won't tough the holes - and that was the problem because the roll will move little by little after a while. So we decided to stop this project.
Now we share the secret :-)
Best regards from Hannover/ Germany,
Cheers.
